Our Process

Our products are all hand-forged iron fireplace doors, with three different options to include stainless steel mesh behind the decorative iron details, glass behind the decorative iron details and/or a combination of both.

All of our doors are sandblasted to clear all dirt, dust and rust from the metal. The doors are then powder zinc plated and powder coated to give it a nice, even black color that can be upgraded to many other color choices.

When burning a wood fire, mesh doors are recommended to stop sparks and embers from exiting the firebox. Fireplace glass doors are available with either sliding mesh or rigid stainless steel wire mesh that is part of the doors itself and fits behind the decorative iron details, and sliding glass panels that allow the doors to be closed during the use of the fireplace.

The mesh doors add safety to both open gas and wood fires creating a rigid barrier to the flames, keeping hands, kids and pets safe. The glass doors can also be closed on a moderate or dying fire to keep sparks and embers in the firebox where they belong. On a full blast fire, the glass-only doors have to stay open during the use of the fireplace.
